About Me.

I am a Sydney-based ceramicist with over six years’ experience in making functional ceramics. My creative path began in London working in branding and jewellery design, before moving to Sydney in 2006 where I retrained as a midwife. Ceramics later became both a creative focus and a grounding practice, offering me space for exploration, focus, and making by hand.

My work is informed by memories of light in nature—dappled shadows through leaves, shifting daylight, frost on grass, firelight, and patterns left by water and sand. Drawn to the purity and translucency of porcelain, I work primarily with mould making and slip casting to create sculptural yet functional lighting pieces that explore how light can shape mood and atmosphere.

As well as lighting, I make functional ceramics that are useful, visually considered, and quietly engaging—pieces that add interest to any space but have purpose and functionality.
